Character Creation

Newbies needing A helping hand may look here.

1. Roll 4d6 drop lowest, 7 times. Throw away the lowest two roll for an 18.
2. Max HP at every level. Never roll, ever.
3. Drow have their level adjustment waived.
4. You make take 2 flaws if they are significant to your character. Each flaw is worth another feat.
5. Make your character without having to bug the DM with A bunch of questions or drawn out conversations about your build. The less I know about your build the less likely I might “accidentally” break it with an encounter it can’t handle. I do not like build conversations.
6. All newly made characters begin at level 1. Even if the peopel you intend to run with are level 10, you start at level 1. Even if you just lost A level 15 character, your new character starts at level 1.
7. A character may not begin working on any crafting until they have had at least their first proper RP session.
8. Sheets are to be hosted on Myth-Weavers. No alternative is deemed acceptable.

Here are a few thoughts on how West Marches is meant to work.
1. It is the player’s duty to put together the party they want to run with.
2. It is the player’s duty to decide what they wish to set out to do. Ei, explore that cave, raid that temple, spend a day socializing in the tavern, work on building a business
3. It falls to the players to attempt to coordnate a schedule as to when they wish to play(Saturdays and Mondays are A no go, fair warning)
4. Not everyone will play in every session. But the more useful your character is, the easier they are to get along with, and the better roleplay experience they provide, the more likely they are to get picked. Playing a person instead of a gimmick may also help.
5. Not everyone will be equal in power, skill, or level. So some may play more often. Equality and balanace will not be artificially maintained.

Timezone is EST. Mondays and Saturdays are no good for Kaote as DM.
